Being tired isn’t a factor, lol. It’s 11:48pm. Just made it in the nick of time. Having to blog everyday is challenging but just like anything else, you just have to find the time. I love my blog so I have to give it my all.
So, how was my day? Woke up a bit late but rushed to work and I made it on time. Thank you to the Traffic Gods for helping me out. I had a bit of intimidating meeting this morning – it was myself and 5 staff members from the client…quite intense when you’re the focus of the meeting and you’re asking all the questions. I guess it’s all practice for when I’ll be a young global leader and running my corporation :P. All in all, work was much better than yesterday, I feel that progress is being made and my goals are within reach. I guess the key, in life, is to just hold on with everything you have in hopes of a happy ending.
After work, I went to an event for Abasa (The Association for the Advancement of Black Accountant of Southern Africa) which was structured as a Leadership Dialogue session. The speaker, Thebe Ikalafeng, was amazing and has some great words on Personal Branding. Most importantly, for branding purposes, he mentioned that “it’s not about what you say you are but what they say you are“. He’s not saying that you must live your life according to what other people say and believe about you but rather that, what people say about you is merely a reflection of what you have portrayed or given to them and hence perception becomes reality for them – therefore the key is to make sure that you give them the correct perception. Well, ain’t that some truth?
With that, I bid thee adieu.
