Day 13B/30 – Amos Lee – Learned A Lot

This song is beyond life-giving! Amos is the epitome of everything! Listen to this live version – Amos has the audience mesmerized…absolutely mesmerized:

“Spent a lot of time staring at the ceiling
Spent a lot of time talking to wall
Spent a lot of time chasing that old-time feeling
Spent a lot of time waiting on your call

Yes, I’ve learned a lot”

My soul was touched: Amos Lee – Learned A Lot

“Oh and darling! The sun has been fallin’, like the dust on some Midwestern plane
Oh and darling! Instead of running, I think it might be time you sit down and deal with the pain…And I learned a lot, I’ve really learned a lot, broken down on my bedroom floor

This kind of music elevates me spirit. It excites to know that there is still authentic music out there that has the ability to stir my soul. You should buy his album that has this song. It’s called “Mission Bell”. I promise you that you will love it. I never promise something I don’t believe in. For me, Amos Lee and Adele has so far saved my musical year.

New Music – on my upcoming playlist

I love discovering new music…well, new in the sense that I had never heard of the artost/band before even if they had been around for a while. So this week, I am committing myself to listening to 3 new/unknown to me albums (I’ll still mix on Adele, my absolute current obsession, lol). Hopefully I will like them and that will let me dig deeper into the archives…here’s to exploring! The mixed genre list is as follows:

Joan As A Police Woman – The Deep Field (Indie, Pop, Rock)

Smith Westerns – Dye It Blonde (Indie Rock)

Amos Lee – Mission Bell (Blues)
